Chitua Ohaeri
Chitua came to SDTV from Channel 25 (Manhattan, Kansas) where she anchored the daily newscast and hosted a weekly talk-radio show. Chitua covered numerous stories on social issues and was a correspondent for several sporting events.
Before beginning her career as a journalist, Chitua enjoyed success as a standout track and field athlete at Texas A&M. While competing for the Aggies, Chitua won 2 Big XII titles (100 meter hurdles) and 2 All-American honors. She then enjoyed 3 seasons on the Pro circuit and made the Nigerian Olympic team, all which allowed her to travel and compete in 16 countries. A Native of Sugar Land, Texas, Chitua is thrilled to be in Houston as a member of the SDTV team. Chitua is the head host for SDTV.
